Prenatal Massage

$100

I offer 60 minute full body Swedish massage for pregnant and postpartum people.

Prenatal massage is wonderful way to help your body adjust to all the changes of pregnancy. As the baby grows and the mechanics of your body change muscles in the shoulders tighten, resulting in both pain in the neck and shoulders and swelling in the hands and arms. The weight of the growing baby stretches your tendons and muscles and changes your center of gravity causing pain in the lower back and hips. The shifting pelvis causes swelling and tightness in the legs and feet. Regular massage can make all the difference helping you to feel your best. Massage is safe through all stages of pregnancy*.

Prenatal massage may:

  • Reduce tension and pain in the shoulders, back, hips and legs.

  • Reduce maternal anxiety and depression

  • Improve sleep

  • Improve mental clarity

  • Improve circulation and reduce swelling in the feet and hands.

What to expect:

After a detailed health intake we will review your goals and expectations. I will formulate a treatment plan based on the above information. We will position your body and determine the flow of your massage based on which trimester you are in and your comfort level. This will likely vary each session to accommodate your changing body.

I will exit the space while you get undressed, you may undress to your comfort level. Once you are on the table and under the drape I will come back into the room. I will undrape the area of your body that we are currently working on and you will remain draped otherwise.

I will communicate with you throughout your session. Both sides of your body will be treated. The 70 minute appointment will consist of 60 minutes of hands-on time with 10 minutes for extra bolstering and positioning. $100. Now billing most insurance plans.
